I have two collections of audio stories - Down These Strange Streets
(urban fantasy) and Songs of Love and Death
(paranormal romance, kind of, some seem to just be romance). These are both subgenres of science fiction/fantasy that I have traditionally thumbed my nose at, but haven't really had a lot of experience with. Where should I start? Short stories seem like a good introduction, but am I wrong? If you select option 3, please tell me what you think I should read instead.

I haven't read those, but I thought the first Anita Blake and Dresden Files audiobooks were ok.
ReplyDeleteMike Carey's Felix Castor series is the only Urban Fantasy I've ever enjoyed.
