And always support Richard Matheson.<br /><br /><i>Blood Meridian</i> is an extraordinary novel, but it's not really a southern one. It's a western, really an anti-western. It starts in the south, then quickly heads into Texas and Mexico, eventually ending up in California. <br /><br />PS: I just didn't get southern writers at all, until I lived in Louisiana.
